The growing share of renewable energy sources, calls for a more flexible energy system to ensure that these sources are integrated in an efficient and reliable manner. Utility-scale stationary battery storage systems can tackle such challenges by increasing system flexibility, due to their unique capability to quickly absorb, hold and then reinject electricity. Utility-scale battery storage systems have a typical storage capacity ranging from around a few megawatt-hours (MWh) to hundreds of MWh. Different battery storage technologies, such as lithium-ion (Li-ion), sodium sulfur and lead acid batteries, can be used for grid applications. Paralos Energy provides development, technical evaluation & construction of Utility-scale battery storage systems on an EPC basis (Engineering / Procurement / Construction).
